As far as Mary being the most successful r&b artist thats questionable, in terms of females. I believe Mariah/Whitney should have placed higher than her. This chart seems a lil weird. However, Mariah and Whitney along with Janet are the three most successful black women in music. So…… Mary was’nt ever worried about Keyshia. Mary does her thang, so why should she be. Eve v. Kim – When let me blow ya mind came out I immediately thought of this as a jab at Kim. She was definitely attacking Kim at this point. Kim was all about the fashion and runways. She had plenty of endorsement deals with Iceberg, MAC, Candies, Versace, etc………plus she walked the baby phat runway and how many licks had her walking down a runway. Eve was definitely coming at her. Didn’t Eve make a song with Charlie Baltimore by the way called Philly’s Finest. Foxy even thought this was disrespectful. Going through one of her bi-polar moments she said that nobody could fuck with Kim on a mic except her. Coulldn’t been jealously from Kim’s part she was still in the thick of things. She didn’t respond til over a year later on La Bella Mafia and that album sold 1.3 million copies……her third platinum album by the way. But, who cares at this point they made up and admitted it was a big misunderstanding.
Remy Ma v. Kim – Remy was an instigator and she rarely likes any of the other female rappers out. She dislikes Kim and Foxy. When I see her was out before Kim ever responded it only became popular after Kim spoke out and Remy admitted it was targeted towards her……
Ms. Wallace v. Kim – Umm hello. She’s been mad at Kim since her VH1 behind the music special when, Mister Cee I believe, stated that Big and Kim got into a big argument and that he hit her with a gun and dragged her through a hotel. Ms. Wallace very famously said I wished he would have pulled the trigger. She thought that Kim was trying to make BIG look bad, when in fact it never came out of Kim’s mouth. Fast forward a few years…..they make a movie…….include Lil’ Kim’s character in a big way and try and make her look bad. Of course she had every right to be pissed.

What is it that LilS Kim has the rights to? The right to dress like a slut? Lyrics so sexually explicit that it puts Zane to fame? The Barbie thing? Even if she has, why be upset that someone admired you so much to imitate you a lil. She even freestyled over “Warning” to show where she came from. Her style in the beginning showed that she looked up to her, but Kim wanted more. They do a song together, and you tell her that you want it on her CD and include a music video that shows you “giving her my blessing and welcoming her into hip hop”…??? Plain and simple, Kim is mad that she couldn’t get any free publicity off of Nicki. So she decided to take it anyway she could. She was the first to release the “beef” (if you really wanna call it that lol) and even made sure after ALL the diss verses on other ppl songs (5star*, All I do is win, etc.) to finally respond. Then what better timing than 3 days after her debut album is released and the masses hear Nicki kill her on “Roman’s Revenge” (and no Black Friday doesn’t compare). Now why do I love Nicki? Because she’s the smartest female emcee of today. She targeted so many markets to expose herself, that now she doesn’t directly fit into any particular genre. Her sexuality in rarely exposed in her lyrics (take a note Kim), but only implied in her name to grab attention. Pink Friday is compiled with more than hip hop, it shows that she’s an Artist, with the ability to transcend trends and stay relevent. Her lyrics aren’t limited to sex, drugs and murder, but actually shows us another side of her (even minus the twitchy-ness lol). Lil Kim basically locked herself into a certain brand that fell off about 7 years ago. Even on Black Friday, she still sounded the same way she did back in her Junior Mafia days. Not to say she should change, but there is no potential for growth that my generation wants. Plus, you can tell how hungry she was just to get her name back out there, the way she didn’t hesitate to throw her name in the dirt. But it backfired, since many Kim fans didn’t even know who she at thipoint and began to google her. Those googles turned to downloads and Csales as Kim continued with the free publicity. Nicki had common sense to make money off of the “beef”, unlike Kim, who would talk to anyone who would listen. Nicki was right; if Kim was making music, it would be no issues about Nicki. Kim thought she could keep her throne without any work and now wanna play surprised when Nicki comes for her with clenched fists? Well, in the words of Ms. Minaj: B*TCH IF YOU AIN’T SH*TTIN’, THEN GET OFF THE POT!!!!!!!!!!!
