Sorry to say, but she doesn’t have long. The survival rate for this type if cancer is about 5%, with her age and weight, she might be gone in about 3 months. I had a family member when diagnosed was given a year, and died 2 months later. Chemo doesn’t work, the pancreas is so sensitive.

pray that her homegoing is comfortable and that she is surrounded by family and friends.

And you’re qualified to make this diagnosis because of your relatives illness? Sorry, but you have no clue as what her medical charts look like, what phase she may be in or anything else. So please keep your grim outlook to yourself and just offer her your prayers and SILENT support.

Thanks,

The Rest of the World

Who says shit like this? I’m sorry for your loss but you havent a clue of God’s plan. Fall back with the premature burial plans.

Pancreatic Cancer is the worst form of cancer and takes you out the quickest. Will continue to lift her and her family up in prayer.

Yeah, I too had a family member that was diagnosed with that cancer and he died six weeks later…doctors dont give you long. damn. I hope her money can buy her the best treatment possible. I am so sad for this. If God does choose to take her, this will be a huge loss in the R&B/Soul jazz world. Great woman.

It’s not grim, realistically those diagnosed with this form of cancer die within a year of diagnosis. I believe it’s considered untreatable.

God willing her last days are comfortable and the press allows her to die peacefully.

I wish peace for her family as well.

yeah it’s cuz there is no current reliable form of early detection so when it’s finally found it’s untreatable.

that said, steve jobs – the apple ceo – just beat it so it’s not impossible. but even in his case it spread to his liver and he needed a liver transplant.

sorry to hear… thoughts & prayers.

but on the real… just like MJ, Aretha Franklin will live FOREVER regardless. I’ve stopped trying to convince my kids that MJ’s gone when as they put it, “We listen to him every day!!!” lol

Steve Jobs of Apple just beat pancreatic cancer not too long ago. So those who are diagnosed with this cancer do not have an automatic expiration date stamped on them.

As Aretha herself was recently quoted saying “God is still in control” …So it aint over until God says it’s over!
