I’m not a Kim fan, nor am I a Nicki fan. Music is music to me. But in my opinion, I understand why Kim is making a track to quote- unquote “Defend” herself. But I mean, from my knowledge, Nicki made shots at all Female Rap, and Hip Hop Artists, that have had their ten (10) year running, and not one of them decided to come out with a diss track to defend themselves. I am not trying to take Nicki’s side, in this debate, but In the world of Rap, and Hip Hop Music, you have to make yourself known to get some form of respect, nobody is going to listen to anything without their being some type of drama behind it. (Same thing applies for television.) Now had Lil’ Kim had confidence in all of her own work as she said she does when she stated: “This shit come and go, I can kill you with all my old shit.” If she had confidence in all of her own records, and her legacy as a rapper, she wouldn’t have to make a diss track. As Female Emcee Trina has stated: “Kim is an Icon, and she has done a phenomenal job in this game, but Nicki is doing her thing as well, so we shouldn’t shade her on her hustle and grind.”
