Ciara would have nothing to worry about… check out these newly released promo shots from her Basic Instinct album released this week. The album is slated to sell 35k – 50k units its first week in stores. She tells the Associated Press:
AP: With your previous album not selling well, are you concerned about what type of numbers you put up for “Basic Instinct”?
Ciara: Selling records are becoming smaller fraction of branding and building a long-lasting career. You can sell a lot of records, but can you tour. You can sell records, but where does it go beyond that? That’s a part of building a brand for yourself.
AP: So at this point of your career, going on tour has bigger precedence over album sales?
Ciara: Absolutely. If you can walk away from your career and are successful touring, you’ll always be straight. Artists like Madonna have been doing it for years. She may put out one single, do a tour and gross over $200 million.

Her body is on point and she rite about the touring thing…but idk only the voices survive and madonna was doin big sales number im sorry dont see her lasting loonngg.
I feel horriable for her cause her album is not gonna sell! those predicted numbers are pitiful like 50,000 copies? how did she drop like that? and yes i get what shes saying about the touring but umm if you cant get them to buy ur album how are u suppose to get them to buy a ticket to a show? the connection there is kinda lost between not selling well yet making lots of money touring she should know better it doesnt work like that. im not understanding her view point on getting people to buy her tickets rather then her album when concert tickets cost way more then a 10 dollar CD hmm interesting. i gues she never plans on headling a tour
Ci is DELUSIONAL as hell! She doesn’t have the SOLID FANBASE Madonna has! So she could NEVER tour like Madonna! She’s trying to save face obviously! How da hell u go from selling 300K + to 50k??? O_o Her career went down the damn drain! She needs to FIRE EVERYBODY & start over with new sound, new writers, new producers, new style, new image, NEW EVERYTHING!

I am an avid concert goer and I never did or ever plan on ever seeing Ciara in concert. She really should just start modeling or coach dancers or something, because isnt anybody checking for her music.
