Snooping Through Your Significant Other’s Email Might Land You In JAIL!

by admin on 12/27/2010 · 8 comments

Not sure what to think about this one, but we hate snoopers! Reports the Detroit Free Press:

A Rochester Hills man faces up to 5 years in prison — for reading his wife’s e-mail. Oakland County prosecutors, relying on a Michigan statute typically used to prosecute crimes such as identity theft or stealing trade secrets, have charged Leon Walker, 33, with a felony after he logged onto a laptop in the home he shared with his wife, Clara Walker.

Using her password, he accessed her Gmail account and learned she was having an affair. He now is facing a Feb. 7 trial. She filed for divorce, which was finalized earlier this month.

What do you think….should this be a crime???

it’s a real messed up world we live in when someone could go to jail for readin a person’s email, when said person committed adultery. All our priorities have gone out the window.

Interesting…

She cheats, and he goes to jail possibly for 5 years?

On top of this the law was not meant for this but no worries cause if the govt wants to do it, then it’s fine.

This is rediculous.

You guys are both fucking retarded. It isn’t illegal. They are prosecuting based on a law designed for computer hackers and credit card fraud. Read a fucking book. Clara Walker is a bitch, bottom line. I watched her cry on TV begging Leon to let go of the anger, as she plans to testify against him based on some trumped up charges based on unrealistic laws. This entire story is bullshit and not worth the paper its written on.

dude no it should not be ILLEGAL to search through someone’s e-mails. That is ridiculous…ESPECIALLY when there is a crucial reason for it like confirming that your significant other is in fact having an affair with someone else….
