The identity of the woman whose video falling into a mall fountain while texting became a viral hit has been revealed as Cathy Cruz Marrero. But nobody at the mall is laughing now, she’s hired a lawyer who’s looking into how the footage got out and what if any option she has to sue:
“Nobody called … ‘Are you ok?’” she said. “It shows in the video nobody went to my aid.” Marrero’s husband, Walter, said security officials should have helped her.
“They should have responded to that immediately; they didn’t know if she got hurt,” he said. Cathy Marrero agreed. “It could have been anybody’s mother. It could have been a senior citizen falling … and would they have gotten the same treatment as I did?” On the raw video, voices can be heard discussing her fall: “Oh, my God, play it back, play it back.”
Cathy says she did get a laugh out of the video but after her nephew told her the video was approaching one-million views on YouTube it didn’t seem so funny anymore. You think she has a case???

A case for being stupid?! She’s just doing it to get media attention and try to profit off of her stupidity. First of all, it was a recorded incident, not a live feed. The security guard was showing other employees what had happen. Don’t blame her for trying to make a dollar but not like this…
