CNN talks to Dr. Erik Fisher about the potential effects MTV’s Skins could have on the children who are watching it. Some critics are even comparing the show to child pornography. Brands such as Taco Bell have pulled out of advertising during the program as well. Do you watch the show? What do you think?

too late america we been watching this since god knows when
obviously they’ve never seen the british version. the “American” version, which is really Canadian is really tame. But I honestly think the truth is people don’t want to accept that this is what their kids are really doing… And trust me, it is.
No I think people want to prevent their kids from doing things like this. Would you be ok with you kids doing stupid stuff like this? I doubt it.
the way to prevent your kids from doing stuff like this has way less to do with attempting to censor the work and a lot more to do with…. parenting.
i haven’t seen the show – but i went to a specialized high school that bought kids in from all socioeconomic backgrounds from all over the city. bad bitches erywhere. and man… it was a hoasis in that bitch. Teaching kids how to manage their base urges re: sex and drugs has less to do with trying to keep them from it but instead giving them things that occupy their time and build their self esteem so that they value their health and reputation.

its all bull really , if you think about, just another way to gain an audience. this is in fact free promotion for the show … so why am i wasting my time commenting
its ridiculous. any time we saw stuff like this in the USA it was played by people OLDER than 18. and ON TOP OF THIS, they don’t show any of the consequences of doing these things.
STONED OUT, LOW PAY, RAISING CHILDREN (with different parents)… not to mention STD’s, and finally death., drinking and driving… but its ok because here in the USA we are working for a living wage for people who fukc up like this and think is ok for me to pay higher taxes and pay higher prices so they can get 15 dollars and hour minimum wage.
