A new CNN piece examines what can be done to stop the shrinking lion population which has gone from 450,000 to about 20,000. Experts say if something isn’t done quickly we may be seeing the last of the population of lions in Africa.

Check out the trailer for an upcoming documentary “The Last Lions” which comes out in February above.

Have scientists ever stopped to think that extinction may be an intended process of nature that shouldn’t be tampered with? I wonder what would’ve happened if scientists were around to play “God” when the dinosaurs roamed the earth.

Actually why don’t you do some research. Lions are not becoming extinct through natural causes. Natives are hunting them for money for anything from taxidermy purposes or for their meat. It’s extremely sad.

Hunting is a natural process in many life cyles, weather its being done by wild animals or humans. Many species have become extinct due to hunting. And guess what?… the world kept on turning and life kept on moving.

We’re talking about lions who’s survival or demise has no baring on the evolution or quality of human life.

Just being realistic. Eventually the only place your going to be able to see animals at is in the zoo. As the human population expands we are going to take up more space and push the animals out. If the animals don’t evolve and learn to speak then there going to get taken out.
