Here are the nominees for Best Male Lead, Female Lead, Directing and Best Picture for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards.  The nominees were announced by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Tom Sherak and Academy Award winner Mo’Nique.

Toy Story 3 & Social Network? LoL….you know its been a bad year for movies when you see those two as a Best Picture nominees….(anticipated response from someone: “Toy Story 3 was actually a very solid film with a brilliant plot!”) LMAO

Imo Jeff bridges was the best actor. Portman the best actress. Coen brothers where the best directors and Inception the best film.

I would ride with that assesment, but I agree with JayRoc below, C Nolan should have been on that list of directors. Seems like a snub!

…CHRISTOPHER NOLAN was not nominated for Directing THE DARK KNIGHT or INCEPTION!!!???

…that’s why nobody watches the Oscars anymore!

You guys are all wrong. I didn’t see all the movies and i’m sure all of you haven’t either. So, we can’t even speculate with any accuracy. But, The Social Network was a really good movie with perhaps the best writing. The only other movie I saw up there was Inception and that was good too. But Fuck yo couch for pontificating like you’ve seen all the films to make any predictions.

I think the nominations are pretty good.. I’ve seen all of the movies nominated for Best Picture, with the exception of King’s Speech (which I’ll probably see before the show airs). I’m not really a fan of them nominating 10 films for best picture though.
