We Want To Go To The ‘Anantara Kihavah Villas’ In The Maldives

by admin on 01/26/2011 · 8 comments

The doors of the Anantara Kihavah Villas open on February 1st in the Republic of Maldives and it is breathtaking.  From Feb. 1 – Dec. 20 the nightly rate for your private villa will be discounted to $1,170 but the standard rate is $2,200.

The resort is tucked away on the Baa Atoll, a former coconut plantation surrounded by lush vegetation, a vast array of marine life, and expansive coral reef. Each of the 78 overwater or beachfront villas opens to lagoon views and private infinity pools, wooden sun decks, and outdoor showers and baths.  The resort offers everything from yoga and windsurfing to cooking classes taught by local islanders, plus it has five distinct dining venues, including an underwater restaurant and wine cellar limited to 18 diners at a time. As part of Anantara Kihavah Villas’ effort to preserve the island’s natural state, the resort gives guests the opportunity to plant one piece of coral (which you can track on its web site) to maintain the marine life and all that makes the island unforgettable.

Had the privilege of going there in 2009 and there was alcohol at all the bars, mini bars in the rooms and restaurants so maybe there is some misinformation here.
