The Most Popular Pizza Spot In Canada Shut Down!

by admin on 02/16/2011 · 5 comments

So that wasn’t Oregano in those little green baggies?  According to the news report out of Toronto:

A downtown Toronto pizzeria popular with university and high school students has been shut down after a police search uncovered $1 million of marijuana and other drugs on the premises.  Police allege Salvatore Crimi, 57, sold marijuana at Pizza Gigi at 189 Harbord Street, near Bathurst Street. The pizzeria is close to Central Technical School and the downtown campus of the University of Toronto.

“Officers made observations where people were actually going in and then leaving emtpy-handed, without any food,” said Const. Tony Vella. A police raid early Monday turned up marijuana, Oxycontin, Oxycocet, ecstasy, a small amount of crack cocaine and $8,000 in cash, police said in a release.

All that money and he couldn’t give the kids a pizza box to go or something?  Not that we condone this behavior, just saying……
