Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco must be smiling from ear-to-ear since his new album Lasers debuted at the Top of the Billboard 200 charts with first week sales of 204,000 copies. We haven’t heard the album yet… if you have let us know how it is in our comments section.

wow!!
he seriously has some apologizing to do!
u think he will?
cause the label was telling him to do this.
he said he didnt even like the songs the picked!
now…its number one.
why should he apologize? He said the label wanted him to make it popular, he succeded maybe now atlantic will let him make some real music again
Congrats Lupe!!!!
That is amazing considering I aint heard a single on the radio, no promos, and few performances
REAL TALENT AND FANS SPEAKS VOLUMES!! CONGRATS LUPE!
THE ALBUM IS HOT!
I am a huge Lupe fan, but I must say, this is his worst album. Im not sure why all the R&B collabos, but it is horrible…
Yes!
great rapper…one of the best writers in hip hop. absolutely terrible album though.
didnt even know his was out.
I purchased it!
wow. this dude’s fan base is bonkers. congrats to the boy.
Despite his never ending complaints and constant pouting, I still like Lupe and wanna see him succeed. I hope the ablum goes platinum and pushes him to finally realize his full well rounded potential.
it’s definitely a poppier album than his previous two, but I still dig it cuz his lyrical substance is still on game.
agreed, the album does have more of a commercial sound to it but nonetheless Lupe still delivers killers verses! The R&B collabos on the album may bother true Lupe fans but for the ‘Soulja Boys’ out there who can’t take SLR(super Lupe rap), might have recognized something new.
I really love him, bouht the album just to support him but already knew would be shit. atlantics execs should go to hell, however really like all black everything
i heard the album is shit, ive had it downloaded 30 days ago, but regardless, this guy is seriously talented! The Cool makes him one of the greatest of all times!
The lyrics on this album are ok. However, the beats are too mainstream (not all) and hooks are just all the same. But hey this is Atlantic album and lupe’s. Wait till his next independent album.
Overall this album worth listening but it sure ain’t Food & Liquor
Congrats to him for the big sales & debuting at number one. True the album is a lot more mainstream then his previous two albums, but it’s Atlantics album not his. I reckon he got big number because his fan base has slowly built up over the years. His last album went gold(in the states) which is good these days, hopefully he can go platinum(states) with this one. One of the few mc’s these days where I’ll buy there album.
i love his word play… it’s a good album
I bought the CD, but it is evident that the label forced him to put certain songs on the album.
