A new Allure magazine survey found that 64% of people think that mixed race women represent the epitome of beauty, 70% of those surveyed want their skin color to be darker and 74% believe that a curvier body is more appealing than a skinner body. Here’s what else they found has changed in our standards of beauty since 1991:
- Beauty idol: Then, Christie Brinkly, now Angelina Jolie
- Women’s peak age for beauty: Then, women said 34; men said 31. Now, women say 31; men say 28.
- Women’s peak of sexual attractiveness: Then, women said 32; men said 30. Now, women say 31; men say 28.
- Men’s peak age for handsomeness: Then, women said 35; men said 33. Now, women say 34; men say 31.
- Men’s peak age of sexual attractiveness: Then, women said 33; men said 31. Now, women say 34; men say 30.
- How important is physical appearance in attracting a significant other? Then, 37 percent of women said it was important. Now, 51 percent of women and 52 percent of men say it is either very important or the most important thing in attracting a mate.

Shit I agree. Me being a man, and 20. I always thought that about 35 will be my peak. But back to attractive mix women. I also have to agree with that too bc mix women aren’t the norm, and when you see someone who doesn’t look like everyone else, they almost become exotic.

Yes but even my parents are mixed with a % of different race – like indian and white and jamaican – we are all mixed!

That’s why the sexiest women are in the Dominican Republic. Half black half Spanish with a touch of Indian = The sex capital of the world. Just came back from Sosua in the Dominican had the best time of my life, literally!
I agree. If you look at all the hip hop videos all you see are latinas or mixed redbone chicks. Rare you see an actual black chick.
I think that’s a bit silly what that guy said, something about you don’t look like the norm so they almost look exotic? What do you mean by exotic? Also there’s tons or mixed people so yes you normally see them. I don’t think there the most beautiful cos there’s beautiful in every race and its all about opinions yes a lot of them are beautiful but there’s tons of beautiful black people also what’s skin colour got to do with it isn’t it all about personally, facial features and the rest? But someone please define the word ‘exotic’ it bugs me.
