A Florida Olive Garden Accidentally Serves A Toddler Sangria

by admin on 04/14/2011 · 1 comment

Is this some weird new trend?  Mother Jill VanHeest says her two-year old was accidentally given a sippy cup full of sangria instead of juice while at a Olive Garden restaurant.  Here’s what the mom who only went public after another case involving a kid getting some alcohol in his cup at Applebee’s had to say:

“He was starting to change his behavior. He was climbing out of the high chair, in the high chair, my mom’s lap, my lap. And they came over and the waiter took the drink and ran away with it. Basically said ‘There’s been a mistake, I need to get you a new one,’ and scurried off.  And when he came back, I told him, ‘You know, I need to know what’s in there, in the event that he has any sort of reaction.’”

In response to the accidental pouring of “special orange juice” Olive Garden has said they will begin making Sangria from scratch.  What would you do?

Some kids have all the luck. And why is it happening so often?
