Police Officer In College Shooting Given “Officer Of The Year Award”

A New York City police union has presented officer Aaron Hess an “Officer Of The Year” award for his “his dignity and professionalism” since shooting Pace University student Danroy Henry Jr. outside a bar after the after his homecoming football game late last year.

The Henry family who is filing a $120 million lawsuit against Pleasantville and Mount Pleasant, New York has said through a spokesperson that despite PBA claims this wasn’t meant to be offensive, they find it award “insensitive and arrogant”.
