Looks like this Turkish Airlines commercial starring Kobe Bryant came out last month, but we missed it somehow. Anyhoot Kobe signed a 2-year deal with the aviation company and this is the first commercial spot. Hit the jump.

Famous people do very little to change a populace’s perception of a service or a product.
Advertisers, if you were to offer someone else who isn’t making $30million /year an opportunity at earning 1/4 of whatever this company agreed to pay Kobe over two years. Then told that story, it would do wonders for your brand.

So…. if someone never heard of a product before it wouldn’t make a difference in credibility/appeal if Oprah cosigned it compared to some average woman off the street?
