Cam’ron Reveals That He Wrote “Crush On You” Record For Lil’ Cease

by admin on 04/28/2011 · 7 comments

We love a good behind the scenes story… and in a recent interview with XXL, Cam’ron reveals that he got paid about $5,000 dollars to pen what became Lil’ Kim’s “Crush On You” record that featured Lil’ Cease.

“What happened was, Un gave Mase $30,000 to write five songs for Lil’ Cease at that time and Mase gave me $5,000 of the 30 to write one or two of the songs,” he explained. “I wrote the ‘Crush on You’ song and they ended up keeping it for Lil’ Kim album but it was really for Lil’ Cease. The original ‘Crush on You’ is all Lil’ Cease, Lil’ Kim isn’t even on the record.”

I remember the Lil Cease only version. It was on a DJ Clue mixtape a few months before Lil Kim’s version dropped.

Uh it’s not that hard to remember his version, it’s on Lil’ Kim’s Hardcore album. She’s not even on it on her own album. It’s only on the single/video version.
