I have questions too… Why did thousands of innocent unarmed Americans who didn’t even know who or what Bin Laden was have to die such terrifying and horrific deaths on 9/11/01 at the hands of his father???

Unarmed = unlawful. Lowering yourself the terror level. If he was unarmed he should have been arrested, put on trial and lawfully dealt with.

I get what you’re saying and I somewhat agree, especially with the celebrating of his death. However, I still do not feel that Bin Laden was owed a fair trial by the US.

frankly the notion of a fair trial is only owed AMERICAN CITIZENS.
For example, illegal immigrants who are arrested of a crime are often summarily deported – WITHOUT A TRIAL.
Bin LAden is/was recognized as an international war criminal and as an enemy of the state. People keep comparing this to Saddam but keep forgetting that the IRAQ war WAS AN ILLEGAL ONE WAGED BY A CORRUPT PRESIDENT. The fact that we even captured him and destroyed his country under the Bush doctrine was fucking ridiculous, waged under deception of an entire country and congress. And remember they turned him over to the new government where he was hung.
There is no comparison. Bin Laden was owed bullets. He’s lucky that Barack didn’t just drop bombs on his house and kill his young kids. That’s the respect that Barack had for this whole process that he opted for surgical precision in order to keep innocents from being harmed.
Osama doesn’t deserve a trial.

Anonymous… do you know what armed and dangerous means? it means that even if the person ISN’T armed, he (or she)is so dangerous that he still has the large possibility to kill you where you stand if you are near him.
That is the first thing wrong with what you said… the second thing is that who is it illegal for? what law are you saying is broken? International law? US law? I’m a US citizen and as far as I’m concerned, international law does not trump the laws I elect representatives to create in my own country. As for US law… please refer to armed and dangerous.

I am very sympathetic to the victims of 9-11, but from a logical stand point I understand what the son is saying. In America – we believe everyone has the right to a trail. If he was indeed unarmed then those who were armed could have been shot and Bin Laden taken into custody in order to stand trial, as did Sadaam. If Bin Laden was shot in cross fire or posed a threat then that would be acceptable for him to be shot as well.
i guess cuz u rnt in the military, u dont understand that if ur in a room with 5 ppl and only 1 is unarmed, the logical thing is to know that he prolly has a firearm right near him, especially being the most wanted terrorist in the world, if everyone else in the room is armed, he most likely has weapons near him, a man like osama is not going to surrender and give up without a fight after everything he has done

With that said, please refer to the definition of the phrase “armed and dangerous”. Also keep in mind that he was being hunted by the US for 20+ years. Do you HONESTLY think that there were not PLENTY OF TIMES where he could have been killed but wasn’t because they wanted to bring him to trial or because he was “unarmed”???
