Take it loose from the right side. Duh
Since when can you pull a chain out from the right side? If that were the case the chain would be useless. If someone bumped the door the chain would pop right out.

What if someone is chasing you? seriously!? you wouldn’t just swing the door strong enough to break the chain and get out!? And if your ur tryna keep someone out, the chain ain’t exactly the first lock you should go for, try the dead bolt.
