Fox News would’ve had a Field Day if Obama had been supportive of him. He had to say that.
No. I’m sure if Weiner was a Republican all other Republicans wouldn’t comment or be asking for a fellow GOP member’s resignation. It seems that Democrats are more adamant about Weiner resigning than the GOP itself. They should all just issue a simple “no comment” and stay out of it. We, the voters, will decide if we want him to stay or go.
Weiner has been a great congressman and while I think what he did was supremely stupid I don’t think it affects his professional abilities as a congressman. We have to keep this in perspective, he hasn’t slept with any of these women. All he did was flirt and send some really stupid pictures. If he is willing to undergo counseling then I see no reason why he needs to resign.
