What in tarnation!!! Reports the Huffington Post:
Earlier this week, the group Turn Right USA released a web ad that could double as a parody of race baiting and bigotry. The spot, targeting Janice Hahn — the Democratic candidate in a special election to take over Rep. Jane Harman’s L.A.-based House seat — spun a fairly uncontroversial attempt to have reformed gang-members draw current ones away from that lifestyle into tales of demonic violence, taxpayer subsidized rape and drug abuse.
We don’t need to know your politics, but whoever is behind this ad loses. Give us yo cash.

This is just…I am at loss for words. The gang epidemic really saddens me. I wish the people involved in that lifestyle would take the time to value their community and one another.
I am not sure if Jane Harman’s idea will be helpful, but honestly, who else will these gang members listen to? They are not going to listen to the law/governemnt, they are more likely to listen to their peers.
this is so fake. liberals put that shit together to make conservatives look bad again. that’s all they can do. they know after the midterms that their time is coming in the 2012 elections.

This buffoonery is just that, buffoonery. First, the “rappers” that accepted the check for Uncle Tom’ing should have more self-respect and respect for our culture. Further perpetrating the negative stereotypes associated with the Hip-Hop culture to elevate one politicians campaigning does not educate voters on why they should vote for him. Instead the politician used fear mongering to deceive the people.
Secondly, I work in the community with at-risk and gang involved youth and utilizing ex-gang members in gang prevention and intervention is HIGHLY EFFECTIVE! The children in my community rather receive that message of why gangs are not good from people in their community who were once gang members. Referent power goes far in working with all people, but when working with children it can be magical.
Sad thing is, the video doesn’t look to different from something you might catch on BET or World Star submitted by actual artist….
