NBC reporter Elita Loresca was caught calling weatherman Al Roker a “kook” during their morning telecast when she thought the cameras had cut away. Of course the moment was captured for YouTube and Elita quickly issued an apology later in the telecast:
“Earlier this morning we had an audio mishap and I made a playful comment about my good friend Al Roker and if I offended you I truly apologize.”
Jovial Al later accepted her apology on Twitter. Close one, it could have been worse….

It’s not like she called him a nigger (calm down, i’m black) so what’s the big deal. Kook just means crazy or eccentric. Why is this news?
