Actor Leonardo DiCaprio will receive the first Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid sports sedan pictured above according to a new report from the company. The car was created by former Aston Martin designer Henrik Fisker and uses a 260 bhp 2.0-litre turbo four engine that doubles as a generator when there is no electric power. Sweet!

I could be mistaken but I think its a direct electric drive system. The engine is just to recharge to extend battery range. Glad to see they are finally going into production after 2 yrs or so, Obama pumped millions of taxpayer money into this thing
