According to R.Kelly’s publicist Allan Mayer – the singer had to undergo an emergency throat surgery to drain an abscess on one of his tonsils.  The procedure was done at Chicago’s Northwestern Memorial Hospital where Kelly is currently recovering.  His Love Letter tour is on hold for now, and looks like he wont be able to make an appearance at Jamaica’s Reggae Sumfest where he was scheduled to perform.  Hope he has a speedy recovery.
