Amy Winehouse Found Dead In London!

by admin on 07/23/2011 · 29 comments

Very sad news out of London today, one of the greatest talents of our generation Amy Winehouse has been found dead in her London apartment.  Reports the Telegraph:

They say that they received a call at 4.05pm calling for help for a woman in Camden. Paramedics were called to the scene, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is “unexplained” but not thought to be suspicious, according to police. Sources have told the Sunday Mirror that an overdose of drink and drugs is the suspected cause of death.

Last month, Miss Winehouse cancelled her entire European tour, after an on-stage breakdown in Serbia. A statement on her website said “Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all scheduled performances. Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen.”

Amy who was 27 was rumored to be about to make her big comeback. She will be missed!

She had 1 album and made such an impact, such a powerful voice and sound in a generation of pop bullshit, sadly like so many others she died at 27, Jimmy, Janis what a complete loss of talent, and she will be immortalized because of her music and unfortunately more because of her drug use, rip

damn.

rest in peace.

life is a cruel mistress. my homey died last week @ 25 from cancer. he was a vegetarian his whole life – never smoke or drank.

it’s like you’re damned if you do; damned if you don’t.

you can only live life to its fullest every day – balls to the wall.

for better or worse – amy did that and she’s already remembered as an awesome talent.

peace.

Damn Amy. It wasn’t “jus” ya fault, the folk in ya corner should’a been lookn out for you more aggressively, but they saw pounds, euro, and the dollars and neglected the implementation and practice of CARE.

RIP Madam. life is a bitch.

she made headlines for the past 2 years for absolutely nothing to do with music but for her battle with drugs and her downward spiral into self-destruction….we watched an call it what you want, it was entertainment, similar to a lohan

she was her own spoiler alert an ending we all saw coming, but not quite so soon

which tabloid darling is next?

Sad to see her go, but I’am not surprised. It’s sad with the talent she had, she still wasn’t strong enough to let the drugs go. RIP Amy Winehouse you’re music will live forever.

Not only did she seem a lovely person aside from all the controversy, in my opinion she held the most beautiful voice of my generation… with lyrics to match. A great loss..xxx

im only 18…but i feel like a little part of me died when i heard about this.
her music has been with me since i was about 15 years old…living a hard life.
i am a DIE HARD fan.
i once heard her say she couldnt write what she didnt feel (in response to when she would make more music) &i instantly became connected to her.
she was pure talent, at best. although it was TREMENDOUS waste of talent, like the bible says “the gifts are without repentence”.

god bless her troubled soul. it seems like when a persons light burns as strong &as bright as some of these artists, it burns out quicker…&it harder to contain.

The 173rd richest person in the world, Ralph Lauren, who was born as Ralph Lifshitz, was actually the son of Jewish immigrants from Belarus. He was born in Bronx, New York and was nurtured by his mother Fraydl and father Frank, who was a house painter.
The name Ralph Lauren was actually unintentional. Since Ralph was always teased with his real last name, he decided to change Lifshitz into Lauren when he was sixteen years old.
Ralph Lauren did not actually attend fashion school as he studied business at the Baruch School of Business and Civic Administration of the City College of New York. When he was still in high school, Ralph was also known for selling ties to other students.
He worked as a tie salesman at A. Rivetz & Co., a well known tie manufacturer in New York. He then proceeded to create his own ties which then defied the current fashion trend of conservative business wear. This bold move lead to Ralph’s success and up to now, Ralph Lauren’s designs continue to set the trends.
Ralph Lauren loves to collect automobiles, most of which are held in his New York estate. Parts of his collection are extremely rare automobile like the 1929 Blower Bentley, a Bugatti Veyron, an F1 LM, and a 162 Ferrari 250 GTO among others.
He met his wife, Ricky Anne Low-Beer in an eye doctor’s office in June 1964. They then married in December of that same year and had two sons, named Andrew and David, and a daughter named Dylan.
Ralph Lauren was born on October 14, 1939 and is now 71 years old. He continues to act as CEO and Chief Designer while his son David works as an executive at Polo Ralph Lauren
