You should all know the story of Rosa Parks who became a key figure in the civil rights movement who rose to fame after she was arrested for refusing to give up her seat to a white man on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama in 1955, but a newly uncovered six page essay reveals whey she may have felt the need to stand up for black women. Rosa was almost raped by a white neighbor who she was a housekeeper for in 1931 according to the letter released by Guernsey’s Auctioneers.
