Violence, riots and lawlessness have gripped London since a 29 year old man was shot dead by police in Tottenham, North London on Saturday. Mark Duggan was said to have fired at police, and they shot back, killing him. Ballistics reports have since confirmed Duggan’s firearm had not been discharged.
A peaceful protest was held by locals for Duggan on Saturday, but was then followed by riots and increasingly criminal behavior which had nothing to do with his death. Soon young people from ten to forty years old were seen covering their faces with hoods and bandanas, smashing windows and looting shops.
More riots have broken out in the West, South and other parts of London as well as other parts of the country over the last three days, which have been condemned by the British Government.
16,000 police officers have been drafted in and called back from holiday to try to control the riots tonight. Using intelligence gathered from Blackberry Messenger broadcasts and Twitter messages, they have been able to try and predict which area will be hit next.

I was evacuated from my office building at around 2.30pm today, as local police instructed us that rioters were heading our way, to Hatton Garden the diamond district of London, not far from Kings Cross. At a friend’s house in an affluent suburb of Ealing, West London, he told me police vans have been parked outside since 3pm in preparation for whatever may come tonight.
Businesses will be left devastated, families homes have been burned down and now it’s nothing but mindless crime, wide spread fear and pictures of politicians with brooms in hand, pretending to sweep the devastated streets with locals. London and parts of the UK, rest uneasy tonight.

I live in London… I cant even go out to the dentist… its so fucked up, that teenagers are such cunt opportunists and are ruining the country we live in, that THEY live in.

The police in London should be armed! with more than a fucking baton… they need guns, or atleast use tasers or something!
Those kids are just lashing out trying to make a point that shit wont fly anymore with them. Getting stopped and searched randomly by white cops every day of their fucking life must have finally made them snap! And hey it’s a riot so shops will get broken into so ummmm since their open might as well get an ipod, mac, or a new 60 inch HDTV.

I do agree however that the government need to listen to what these kids have to say, they clearly feel strong about what they are doing… They should get heard by them… But at the end of the day, what they are doing is wrong and its not helping their case!

the news here actually is showing interviews with a lot people people showing that they have a cause for doing the riots… that is complete bull… its summer holidays, and these dumb arse kids are fucking bored as SHIT doing nothing. they saw one riot, and because the news and media gave it soo much attention, that even the kids that DONT watch the news, watched the news and found out… and probably thought lets JOIN IN… lets riot aswell… fuck it…
