We are saddened to hear that Motown recording artist Nick Ashford of the legendary R&B group Ashford & Simpson passed away tonight in a New York City hospital from his battle with throat cancer. The singer was 70 years old and leaves behind his wife Valerie Simpson and two daughters Nicole and Asia. May he Rest In Peace.
