Now that Troy is only hours away from being executed this case is gaining world wide attention, reports CNN:
The Georgia Board of Pardons and Parole has denied clemency for death-row inmate Troy Davis. Davis was convicted of the 1989 killing of Savannah, Georgia, police officer Mark MacPhail. Davis is scheduled to be executed by lethal injection at 7 p.m. Wednesday at a state prison in Jackson, Georgia.
Davis has gained international support for his long-standing claim that he did not kill MacPhail. International figures including Pope Benedict XVI, Desmond Tutu, and former President Jimmy Carter, entertainers such as Susan Sarandon, Harry Belafonte, and the Indigo Girls, and others have joined with Amnesty International, the NAACP and other groups in supporting Davis’ efforts to be exonerated.
Since Davis’ conviction in 1991, seven of the nine witnesses against him have recanted or contradicted their testimony.

great question what is up with his appeals?
A lot of times appeals can only be based on certain things like a defendants rights being violated or the jury recieving incorrect infomation. It’s a good chance that the basis for the appeals were not enough in themselves and not cumulative, just based on what is in front of them now.
On top of all that if you’ve ever gone through the court/prison process you will see that the whole thing is run by people who are like machines programed to believe the worst in you, and that you’re guilty otherwise you wouldn’t be there.
If he dies, it may be a shame but let’s face 99% of the people pretending to care about this case will not lift a finger to write their senator, govenor, or other official to put in place measures to ensure that this doesn’t happen again, because of course, it would never happen to them. Anyway, there’s are a lot of innocent people rotting in prison and nobody outside their family really gives a f*ck.
The deathy penalty is a crock of bull….Let’s just say that he was guilty…what makes the person that gives him the lethal injection any less of a muderer than Troy has been deemed to be. Organized crime, does not make it any less than what it is.

This case is so gotdam murky, the lack of physical evidence, forensics, DNA. the fact that a slew of eye whit eases recanted their testimonies…had this case been tried in a DNA age, I have no doubt that he would have been exonerated. I meAn, that’s exactly how Casey anthony got off, they painted a great picture but they just did not have the physical evidence to convict. What’s even more murky is that the state has the right to destroy evidence after a execution, so we will never know the real story.
