Starbucks Taps Young Designers to Celebrate Their 40th Anniversary

by MelMaw on 09/22/2011 · 6 comments

In celebration of Starbucks’ 40th anniversary, they have teamed up with a trio of designers, who are all past recipients of the Council of Fashion Designers of America/Vogue Fashion Fund award; Sophie Theallet, Alexander Wang, and Billy Reid.

The tees will set you back $85 and you won’t be able to purchase them with your latte, instead they’re available at Nordstroms and online from Starbucks direct. Is it a gimmick or a good idea?

The price is ridiculous but the shirts are kind of cute

Yeah. That price is dumb but if they still have the one that’s laying on top when they all go on sale I’ll get it. :)

Yeah; I like it and I do as I please. I like the front. I know how to sew so the ribbon (not strings) sill not be an issue for me.

It looks like the back is open so the ribbon is necessary, but it is cute and I do want it!
