This is an old clip. But here’s how I feel:
The code is complete bullshit and it’s not real. Sure people don’t snitch in Harlem when a cat gets shot and the killer is at large with a crew. But let that dude who knows something be facing a stretch up north, I GUARANTEE YOU he’ll be singing like a canary.
I’m from NY, lived in Harlem for 8 years, so I’ve seen “no snitching” in effect. But I also know that snitching is an everyday thing in the criminal justice system. My homie is a lawyer. He usta work in Rikers. He said dudes would be running up on him like, “yo, how would I go about droppin a dime?”
Cam can uphold this fantasy if he wants but it’s still a bullshit code. The black community needs to police itself, I agree. But it doesn’t happen. We just let mofos mess it up and some live in fear.

The basic code is to mind your business and I’ll handle mine.
Why didn’t Cooper ask “What if you have a Clans member/ or an employee from Wall Street living next door to you, would you call the police?” LOL….
