I’am getting a bit tired of the whole r&b mixed with dance music, but I lovee this. I really like the concept of the video too, great work by the director & Rihanna & hear team.
Their “love story” is stupid. Its cliche’. All they are doing is walking around doing shit that would otherwise be boring except that their high as fuck. Except when they’re fucking.
I’m hating, I know, but allow me to indulge. Does Rihanna really have to be *that* girl in this video? She’s the black ecstasy user, the black ‘alt’ girl, who does alt things with her alt boyfriend. And, you know what, that alt hipster shit is fine, but really… all those drugs? They drive their car around in circles, dance wildly in a field, dress silly and walk around the room: all shit that is not actually that fun to do, unless you are high out of your mind. Soooo… the solution? Insert drugs, it makes it cooler! Lame.
