“I’m Treated Like A Mafia Don…” Bernie Madoff

by admin on 10/21/2011 · 5 comments

Disgraced Ponzi scheme swindler Bernie Madoff is back in the news now that Stephanie Madoff Mack, the wife of Madoff’s oldest son Mark who killed himself during the trial, is publishing a new book. In recent press interviews she has revealed she wrote a letter to Bernie trying to make him feel guilty for all he would be missing while serving his 150 years in prison, but Bernie response wasn’t what she had expected. Here’s what she says he wrote in a letter which he also described Butler Prison as similar to a college campus:

“As you can imagine, I am quite the celebrity, and am treated like a Mafia don. They call me either Uncle Bernie or Mr. Madoff. I can’t walk anywhere without someone shouting their greetings and encouragement, to keep my spirit up. It’s really quite sweet, how concerned everyone is about my well being, including the staff…It’s much safer here than walking the streets of New York.”

And there’s still money from that $65 BILLION he stole buried in the ground somehwere!

Lol @ comparing rappers to Bernie Madoff, who is a REAL gangster. Bernie Madoff made a lot of money with his ponzi scheme, more than any rapper can dream of. If you don’t know about the Madoff Ponzi scheme, this article gives a great explanation on it.

I think she was foolish to think he would feel shame or bad. He is in prison, with criminals who outside of the ones wrongfully convicted, think and act differently…OOOOOOF course he would be treated like a DON!!!! He is like the MJ of crime. No other criminal(convicted) has done what he has done so for them he is larger than life…..as wrong as it is(and thats what criminals do….they think and act wrongly) so he is almost like a hero for having the plan and balls to pull off such a feat.
