A book called “To Train Up A Child” is at the center of controversy now that two deaths of adopted children from Africa found the controversial book written by Michael Pearl in the homes. I saw this on 360, I don’t think Anderson was ready for this dude to actually be able to intelligently articulate and defend his position about spanking. He did well. Some things were a bit off, but such is life. I’ve seen way too many children, people I grew up with, treat their parents with disrespect as a result of not fearing anything or anyone. My first spanking was the first time I realized that I could not just do what I wanted without consequence. Other non-physical punishments worked at times, but mainly because they were reinforced by the possibility of a spanking.
