His boss did 963K, his boys from the Throne did 436K and his freshman album Thank Me Later sold 462,989 – how do you think the king of Toronto is going to do this time out???

Hands down in my opinion “Album of The Year” regardless of the naysayers whether he sings or raps too much or not enough or his sweaters are fugly WHO CARES really…. Drake delivered very good material on “TAKE CARE” from beginning to end sonically the album was well thought out, from his emo songs to his family matters to his street stuff, i wouldn’t be surprised if he outsells Kanye West, Jay-Z – Watch The Throne, or Lil Wayne – Tha Carter IV but in my opinion he definitely made some history with this album.

As for “Watch The Throne” i agree it is a good album from two really good rappers who basically rapped about how they live the most luxurious lifestyle known to Hip-Hop/Rap, but that’s about it… their Luxury Rap CD is filled with a lot of Luxury metaphors and slick Luxury sounding rhymes and some serious non-Luxury subject matter… i can honestly say its not on constant replay in my iPod in comparison to other album, i only listen to “Watch The Throne” when I’m in a Luxury Rap mood…
As for “Tha Carter IV” its an OKAY album in my opinion, i feel like Weezy cut us (his fans) short, rapped the same sounding bullshit as before, his beats were aighttt… i expected 6′ 7″, She Will, & John… but that’s about it, i guess i was expecting a more personal weezy who reflected on jail, family & life… or at least a similar but newer sound to “Tha Carter III”

Nevertheless, as we all know, album sales can not symbolize the quality of the album.
Watch The Throne is a better album…Take Care is a great album too. Forget who sells the most because the Carter IV can’t touch either one of the aforementioned albums. However, neither Watch The Throne nor Take Care will come close to Carter IV first week numbers.

i can speak for myself and say that i prefer rap – and more aggressive music – to RnB and ballads (shit like drake sings – he’s an adult contemporary artist who occasionally raps) .
more aggressive music doesn’t exclude other genres – black/death metal. UK Grime. it’s all good when i’m looking to lift weights or get that bike session in or whatever.

I bought mine last night. I really like it. I’ll be happier when he raps more. Although, if you can recall, Drake said he was going to drop an RnB mixtape called It’s Never Enough. So, whenever that idea was scrapped, he was still in that mode and we got Take Care. But, this album should last the next 2 or 3 years if he makes the right movies. Can’t rush creativity and progress
