You thought times were tough for you having to walk through that bad neighborhood?! These kids from China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region travel 125-miles over mountains, through rivers and whatever else gets in their way at the beginning and end of each semester to go to school. The entire trip takes 2 days, insane!!!

Pretty much what they are saying is that they leave in september to go to school and don’t come back till schools over in the summer cause the journey is too long and dangerous. The people you see that look white are native to that region of china (north west) and they didn’t want their daughters going to school because they didn’t have the money to send them (mom showing daughter has holes in shoes). The guy speaking at the beginning gives them the money so they can go to school and gives a big speech about how children deserve education and they are the future.
