Oh boy, these huge sports break ups are never pretty. After 10-years of what seemed to be marital bliss, except for the incident where he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a Colorado hotel employee, Vanessa Bryant filed for divorce from her husband NBA superstar Kobe Bryant today. From the LA Times:
A computer court record filed Friday at the Orange courthouse provided no details about the divorce. The couple released the following statement through a publicist: “The Bryants have resolved all issues incident to their divorce privately with the assistance of counsel and a Judgment dissolving their marital status will be entered in 2012. We ask that in the interest of our young children and in light of the upcoming holiday season the public respect our privacy during this most difficult time.”
