Actor Matt Damon who was once a supporter of President Obama had some pretty harsh things to say about him in a new Elle magazine interview, here’s his beef:
“I’ve talked to a lot of people who worked for Obama at the grassroots level. One of them said to me, ‘Never again. I will never be fooled again by a politician. You know, a one-term president with some balls who actually got stuff done would have been, in the long run of the country, much better.”
This is not the first time the actor has expressed anger with Obama, earlier this Spring he made some comments on the Piers Morgan show which actually got a response from Obama at a White House correspondents dinner. See what the President had to say back in May after the jump…

I can’t let this slide.. First off, Obama was making a joke at the WhiteHouse correspondents dinner, where he even joked about Donald Trump. The dinner is hosted by comedians normally and is meant for the President to loosen up and say a few jokes. Second, the POTUS is a brilliant guy and he’s done a fairly decent job against the backdrop of five active wars and a stalemated congress. Any who knows anything about politics can see that conservatives have been trying to “hold the ball, waiting for the clock to run out.” In case that was over your head, that’s called a metaphor. The metaphor for doing absolutely nothing waiting for the economy to get worse so the president can look bad. That means opposing every legitimate piece of legislation offered by the administration, American people be damned. Now you said the president did a bad job, but you didn’t give any examples. This is the bis leagues my friend, you can’t just say things and not back them up. The president passed healthcare reform effectively insuring 40 million people who did not previously have insurance, while allowing young people to stay on their parents insurance until they turn 26, a great move in this economy. Insurance companies can no longer deny coverage to someone based on preexisting conditions. The Obama administration established the national commission of fiscal responsibility to spearhead banking and financial reform. The financial stability act, Dodd-Frank, etc. I could go on and on and on listing accomplishments, but you couldn’t use one example of how he’s done a bad job. Granted he is not perfect, but he’s much better for the common man than Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul and Rick Perry. We’re also doing much better than we were with that other guy, Bush 2. Granted, he is still a politician. The biggest problem in America is the fact that you can’t even get a chance at the job unless you can raise north of $100 million in two years. The problem in America is the two party system. People are either too far left, or too far right there isn’t ever any body in the middle. Barack Obama is pretty much a centerist, but that doesn’t get you re-elected. Ok, I’m done.. wake up bro.

The president also signed the NDAA which lets him call anyone a terrorist and lock them up. He also kept something unconstitutional like the patriot act going. Everyone wants to blame congress, but they fail to realize that Obama is responsible for putting those people in office. I mean… we should feel played, everyone wants to blame wall street but NO ONE has acknowledged that Obama put nothing but Federal Reserse people in office right after he took oath. I know he ain’t the only one at the top, but he is just as guilty. Most of us aren’t in the wealthy 1%, but imagine if you were and you owned businesses… could you afford to hire people if all the time you were getting hassled with taxes left and right? Our business owners and entrepreneurs are scared so they are holding back their spending instead of helping boost the economy… Obama is very responsible for class warfare. Right now our economy could boost if he approved the keystone oil pipeline deal with Canada. Over half of the oil we use is from foreign supply. Why is he keeping us dependent on other countries which is keep us more in the hole? Another thing is foreign policy. He truely is oblivious to what is going on and this was evident when himself and the Israeli PM talked on national TV and Obama was nationally punked for not knowing anything about what has happened in the middle east for the past 100 years… Telling Israel to go back to their 1967 borders, like okay dude do you know what you are saying when you say that? Do you even know who’s side your on? Obama really reminds me of bush in so many ways.

the people have absolutely no say. Just congress. The only say people have is electing people into office who get in there and just carry on with the party’s agenda.
Sad but true. Check out the WashPo report about the millionaires in Congress. They protect their own interests, then the party’s interests, then the lobbyist’s interests….then if there’re a couple minutes left, the people who voted them in.
Better yet, research the electoral college and you’ll see that our votes don’t really choose the president either; it’s a “recommendation”.
I just don’t understand some of you people on here. President Obama has made major changes despite inheriting a numerous amount of problems the previous administration left before he got into office. All this and that about him not doing anything is false and should acknowledge his accomplishments for his first term.
1. Healthcare legislation- that means everyone will be covered including those with preexisting illnesses. Imagine getting cancer, HIV, sickle cell, or other extreme illnesses that current insurance companies refuse to provide coverage to because you either have a lack or no insurance at all.
2. Bin Lin din- captured and killed on his watch, not the one who started the war with the wrong country.
3. End the war in Iraq- though the orders were made a long time ago, he made sure the word was kept.
4. Rebuilding the nations economic structure- despite being over 9-10% since the last administration, the numbers are now @ 8-8.5%, and will get lower.
5. Bailing out the automotive companies- saving thousands of jobs.
6. Repealing do ask, do tell- that was major because if the gays can die for you, why can’t they be themselves.
7. Arguing with Republicans that constantly fight any policies he tries to set in place and not losing his cool.
And lastly, winning the Noble Peace Prize and restoring some of the respect we lost with different countries thanks to the Bush administration.
Of course, there is so much more but we are bombarded by media and the right wing media propaganda that we forget his achievements, but I refuse to let anyone insult or break down a man of greatness that has tried to restore the strength that current day America has.
