A Japanese department store has issued an apology after plastering the inside and outside of their store with signs advertising their “Fu@%*n’ Sale”. Apparently in Japan, fukubukuro means lucky bags, which is when the previous season’s handbags are sold in large grab bags for a huge discount, so that’s what they meant. Unfortunately, nobody had a Rosetta Stone.
