by admin on 01/18/2012 · 12 comments

A$AP Rocky spent 2011 making a name for himself via his mixtape LiveLoveA$AP garnering him a recording contract worth $3 Million dollars from RCA Records.  Here is the newcomer with what we think is his first magazine cover for the latest issue of Dazed & Confused.  Have you heard the music, and are you a fan?

Check out the LiveLoveA$AP mixtape after the jump.

This kid is aight tho… I don’t do drugs, but if I did I would burn to his joints.. His music just sounds like it’s made for weed smokers.

people really believe he got 3 milli for a deal in this day-n-age in the recording industry??

We don’t believe you, you need more people.

Don’t get me wrong Pretty Flocko and his other hits are nice and he’s on the come up up but 3 mil with no huge single or heavy spins on a mixtape, just sayin.

His style, swagger, and delivery are genuine and fresh. His set don’t fuck around and if I owned my own record company 3 million would be cheap for his progressive sound in rap today.

It wouldn’t be cheap if there was no foreseeable way to recoup the three million dollar investment. He’s dope, but it’s still the music business. The only way any new comer is getting a three million dollar recording contract is if their debut mixtape had three number one hits on billboard hot 100, not r&b hiphop, but the pop charts mind you. Or, if they win X-Factor … lol

he has a 360 deal. $3 million isn’t that much behind an artist with a 360 deal who is already touring and already has a ton of buzz and market awareness.

@Fuckyocouch please show me where I said he got the three million dollars and then do me a favor an prove to me that he never actually got the money from RCA. Also if Drake or Drake’s management decide it was willing to let him open for Drake without ever meeting him there must be something about this guy. Everyone hates Kanye and you see where Kanye is ten years later.

His style is different compared to what Harlem has produced but it’s quality smoker music..
