British parents Beck Laxton and Kieran Cooper made the decision five years ago to raise their son Sasha Laxton gender neutral, only telling a couple of close friends the child’s real sex, because they think “stereotypes seem fundamentally stupid”. A snippet about the very unique living situation from Time:
Sasha’s unique upbringing went beyond language. His bedroom was painted yellow, he was encouraged to play with all types of toys, including dolls, and he wore whatever hand-me-downs fit him, whether they were his older stepbrother’s or his older stepsister’s. While around the house, Sasha was even known to dress up in a tutu and wings or a pink two-piece swimsuit. His mother said that she saw no problem with the whole thing, pointing out that, “We don’t make Sasha go out in girls’ clothes. We are not forcing it.”
The parents say they have only revealed Sasha’s sex to the media who picked up on this story because he’s now about to attend school.
Listen to the ladies of The View talk about another Canadian child whose parents were trying to raise them gender neutral. Some are saying this is child abuse, is it?

I understand what they are trying to do here, but it is ridiculous. . .
+1
I get it but I think it’s so unfair to the child. What happens when he or she decides what they are, but it doesn’t match their true sex. What happens when they are confused at their body parts, what bathroom to go to, who to be attracted to. Yes everyone makes their own choices, even children, but everyone is guided and influenced.
I think it’s too early for this child to decide who they are and what they want to be. It’d be one thing if the boy reached for girl toys and vice versa. It’s another thing when you’re giving them girl toys to play with and then say make a choice…
I know I’d be confused.
I think thats the point…
Wtf? What happened to just letting a kid be a kid. Do they nothing better to do?
+1 they are doing the absolute most.
That shot differs from the others inside the actual film, it shows Windu in the front, not the medial side. Makes it harder to find out the sabre.
