MTV has found their host for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. Russell Brand will be hosting next month’s event at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. Brand previously hosted the 2008 and 2009 MTV Music Awards. Is he the right fit for yet another MTV hosting gig?

He is not funny. I don’t get how he gets his gigs. How about someone hot right now like Kevin Hart? He is selling out arenas. You would think he would host something like that.
I think Americans just dont understand British humor, its very different. Even when Americans come on British chat shows, they never understand jokes. I think its just a cultural barrier, because I find him hilarious.
