Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks who was a coach for contestants on last season’s American Idol is not pulling any punches, weighing in on the alleged feud between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey. During a recent interview Nicks says, “how dare this little girl! … If I had been Mariah I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there.”

Nicki fucked up! She had no business cursing out a legend. You just don’t do that. This generation seems to know nothing about respect. Nicki is brand spanking new on the scene and can only hope to achieve the longevity and respect that Mariah has earned.

Two things:
1 – Nobody knows who actually antagonized who and caused Nicki to react the way she did. All we see is Nicki cursing Mariah out. Is it not possible that Mariah had been provoking Nicki up to that point?
2 – Mariah is a legend – yes. But so fucking what? Does that mean because someone is a legend that they do no wrong? That they are above criticism, discipline or being put in their place? Absolutely not. Means NOTHING. You may get respect as a legendary artist but you gotta act a certain way AND give me respect to get it back as a human being.
Thank you! Doesn’t matter how many records you sell or if you’re a “legend” status, that doesn’t give anyone a right to talk down to anyone else.
