As early as next season the NBA’s New Orleans Hornets will be changing their nickname to the New Orleans Pelicans. The rights of the new team name are owned by New Orleans Saints and Hornets owner Tom Benson. The pelican is Louisiana’s state bird and also appears on the state seal and flag. What do you think of the name change?
