That’s like living in a prison cell…who wants to do that?? Living in the city is just not that serious to me. Real estate developers and their excessive greed has reached an all time low with this bullshit here!
i lived in a 100sq ft apt for two years…but that was in the west village NYC. not sure i could do the same in washington state..lol.
you still in new york nigga?
did you own it or rent? do you still own it?
a nigga looking to buy something.
thanks
Were u renting a room or was your entire apt 100 sq ft? Because NYC has a law that requires all apts to be at least 400 sq ft.
Anyway, if these are really affordable homes (less than 800 monthly) then they could be a great starter for college kids & yng professionals. But what I’m afraid of is this “size” becoming the new standard. Every landlord in these cities will start chopping up standard size apts & rent out these micro-apts at full price.
…wow, now that’s small, you’d have to stick your head out the window just to change your mind!!
Well my first condo was 398 Sq.ft.. I had enough space to live comfortably. Bought it for $161k then sold it for $250k, 4 years later
All of the experiences you guys have had sound so foreign to me! I recently moved up north from down south and I’ve had the hardest time making the adjustment from what I’m used to and to what’s available in my area. My 1Bdr/1.5 Bth condo in Atl was 900 sq ft not including the patio. I’ve seen the smaller apts/condos decorated very nicely but I’ve been in a place that was like 600-650 sq ft and almost passed out!
Girl, where up north are you? I like those glasses on you. We might need to go out for coffee and then go get some tattoos together.
DC Metro. I love coffee and tattoos! LOL!
bestill my tatted heart.
too bad i’m in ny.
I heard you can get condos in ATL for like $25k?.. well thats what my boy told me in 2010.
I don’t think it’s as common as your friend made it seem but it is possible if you have a lot of time to look for a place. I know my line sister sold her 3 Bdr/2.5 Bth townhouse for $30k in short sale and I sold my place for $70k in a short sale (and the person’s mortgage is like $450/month + HOA). Either way, you can get a deal if you have the time to look.
