I really wish people will stop saying “i can’t believe this happened in our neighborhood…” Its so naive to think anywhere or anyone is completely safe nowadays …when it rains everyone from a prostitute to the Pope gets wet!!
My deepest, sincerest heartfelt prayers and thoughts goes out to all of those affected by this senseless tragedy.

the dude went to the school to kill his mother – who was a teacher at the school. he killed her and just kept shooting.

i’ve never felt like this. like hollow inside. i… just don’t understand how someone could do this.

Mental Health evaluations should be a mandatory requirement of anyone seeking to purchase guns. Especially if they’re purchasing semi-automatic weapons. Those aren’t used to hunt game… they are used on people. That should be the 1st red flag.

Some people refuse stricter gun laws, but, it’s quite obvious that we need more proactive measures in place to help prevent & reduce these kinds of tragedies from occuring.

Lets do a constitutional law banning guns like they did alcohol. It should work out just the same way.

I wish people would THINK about statements of stronger gun laws. Criminals do not obey stronger gun laws. At a certain point there is no more laws that can be added.

I wish that those who do stuff like this kill themselves first not afterward.

Making guns more readily available isn’t the answer either. Just because criminals have access to them, doesn’t mean that every person should carry a weapon at all times. It’s a slippery slope that would devolve us back to the wild west era.

look at nyc, gun law in her is very strict, yet they are all over streets. And getting one in here doesn’t take much either. Laws are not the problem.

So, are you proposing that everyone should carry a gun & then it’s every man for himself?

That would be a disaster waiting to happen.

BGAS 12/15/2012 at 6:10 AM

Who said anything about making guns available like candy in a store? All I’m saying is that every time something like this happens it should not be used as an excuse to take guns out of honest citizens hands.

They is ONLY so much you can do about gun laws. Eventually the only people who will obey them are the honest citizen. Criminals don’t care about you making more laws. Make better ones but randomly call for more?

They be selling them like they sell drugs now… Rockefeller laws… How did that work out again?

guns aren’t alcohol, genius.

criminals wouldn’t obey stronger gun laws but manufacturers would have no choice because part and parcel of stricter gun laws would be fierce sanctions against the manufacturers.

it’s the same reason why it’s easy to get guns but impossible to get a drone or an RPG or C4.

pull your head out of your ass.

and regarding alcohol: prohibition failed because alcohol is one of the oldest fermented foods in existence and it’s incredibly easy to produce. any asshole can make alcohol in his house. i challenge you to go somewhere and make guns, nigga.

and the way you pitch gun laws is not reminding people of what they lose – but of what they gain. for example you can de-criminalize stun guns and stun projectiles (in the states where they are illegal). In most instances stun weapons have more stopping power than bullets – because someone hit with a noncritical bullet can keep going – where hitting any part of your body with sufficient current means you go down. it actually spawns a whole new industry of non-lethal weapons – it would be a gold rush.

Probation failed because you can’t control people when they want what they want.

Go ahead and try it with guns because somehow your argument just can not be said about guns and how it’s so apart of the society that there is an amendment about it already…

Whoops…

oh. that’s right.

you’re an idiot.

so i’m gonna spell it out for you in a way retards can understand.

bullet points. don’t get lost.

-guns and liquor aren’t the same. liquor can be produced by everyone. guns AND ammunition cannot. so guns can be more effectively regulated because you can strictly regulate production.

-proof gun control works: Japan (a little more than 1/3 our population – almost all urban). in 2008 they had 11 gun related homicides. the US had 12,000. 12 THOUSAND!!!!! There were 587 Americans killed by accidental gun discharges in 2008. So we had more idiots in the US kill themselves by accident fucking with a gun than there were homicides in Japan TOTAL.

So I hear all the bullshit. Idiots say gun control doesn’t work but that’s because we keep listening to the gun lobby and half-assing it. stricter – more stringent. All over Europe and SOuth America countries are making gun control work.

the assholes who say it wouldn’t have no numbers – like you. you’re comparing something produced in factories to something anybody can make in their kitchen as an example. this is classic idiocy. it’s called false equivalence. idiots do this. i safely conclude you’re an idiot. i also conclude that voices like yours are partly responsible for what happened in NewTown – becaue idiots like you won’t shut the fuck up and realize that you’re working for billionaire gun manufacturers.

men lie. women lie. BGAS is a fucking retard. numbers don’t. really strong gun control works.

the 2nd amendment is outdated and needs to go away.

Anonymous 12/15/2012 at 9:42 AM

And one final point. You want to talk about Amendments to the constitution?

the 3/5 compromise wasn’t even a compromise. it was in the ORIGINAL TEXT of the constitution – which made it so that black people were counted as 3/5s for tax purposes. that’s the culture of the united states too – that when we started black people were property that could be taxed and traded and insured with insurance policies.

and look where we are now – with a black president on his second term. there can be change.

the only thing we need to deal with is BGAS type assholes who tell you that there cannot be.

Anonymous 12/15/2012 at 1:57 PM

eat a dick nigga.

to Anonymous 12/14/2012 at 8:57 PM

All of the guns that the assailant used were purchased and owned by his Mother.

While obviously you should have to go through a mental evaluation before purchasing any sort of dangerous item, that would not stop these shootings from happening. While you might have a mental disorder someone that you know may not. Making stricter gun laws wouldn’t stop these tragedies from happening. If some person wants to commit a heinous act like this, they will find a way to do it.

What needs to happen is people need to learn that they have to be held responsible for their own actions. Harming others and yourself should not be viewed as an option; however, in today’s society it is. Get bullied? Kill yourself! You’ll draw the sympathy of millions! Someone offends you? Beat them up! Because obviously you can’t be disrespected. -____- That is the mindset of the younger generation which I am unfortunately a part of.

People who own guns for personal protection are cowards and I think secretly want the chance to kill someone. I would propose armories where people would store their guns and check them out for hunting or sport shooting. Anyone caught with an illegal gun should get minimum 20yrs. If you like to go to the gun range leave your gun there in a locker/ safe. I’m pretty sure many gun owners are christians therefore if God decides its your time there’s nothing you can do about it.

lovelovelove people debating gun laws. what is there to debate?! the laws are outdated as hell and I’m quite sure quite a few of us could buy the same guns on the streets that we could in stores but for much cheaper. sad but true. something needs to change, fast. america is a fucking joke in regard to gun control. though this was a horrible horrible tragedy, it was only a matter of time. it’s not just guns, it’s a society filled with violence and sensationalism. overly emotional/sensitive young people, who are ALWAYS WHITE, play too many damn video games, pop the adhd + antidepressant meds that they’re prescribed, feel some kinda way about something and boom. Sadddd
