I do believe it is a partnership….If she was a bad woman or wife, Kobe would not be as successful because he would have to focus more attention on his home life if he truly cherishes being a dad….and if she was bad, she would have been squandered Kobe’s fortune….so she does not need to be in the GYM.
obviously the drake reference is partly in jest.
the other part of drake’s reference which deserves scrutiny is how much her contribution to his life is worth monetarily.
in other words, does she deserve to be financially obligated for her time in a marriage should it not work out – because that’s what it amounts to.
the argument about her virtue as a wife and mother works both ways. how much of her contribution has affected him negatively? that’s what dwyane wade argued against his ex-wife – so successfully in the courts that he got custody of his children. we have no way of knowing whether she was added value or holding him back from the outside in.
so was it really worth $150 million? she’s be hard pressed to spend $50 million in a lifetime considering she would get homes (and the equity in them). that’s what drake was referring to.
about the only point that Vanessa makes that really holds water was that drake was in the wrong for speculating on another man’s married life and throwing shade on the wife. it was pretty gay. she’s absolutely right about that. anything else can go both ways.
First of all, thats a crock of shit….. Kobe would have had a nanny and an accountant to handle his finances and family…. yes, it IS a partnership…. but it is FAR from an EQUAL partnership….. Vanessa, could be replaced, very easily for the purposes that she states….. if the partnership wer EQUAL Kobe would be as easy to replace in the relationship as she is…. and THAT is certainly not the case AT ALL…. I know you ladies love to take tis stance in these situations….. but, the truth of the matter is…she WASN”T in the gym……. Kobe was 17 yrs old when he came into the NBA it took dedication and hours and hours of practice…. the fact that his children are so young means he was successful PRIOR to her “taking care of babies” and signing checks…. and as far as “signing checks” again he could have hired ANYONE to do that…… Not to take away from her role in their MARRIAGE AT ALL….. she is probably a WONDERFUL wife…. but as far as his basketball career????…… Miss me with that one!
