What???!!!!! 01/11/2013 at 5:47 PM

If this is the type of material Beyonce is going to regress back to, I’d rather her stay a solo artist. She’s grown too much as a vocalist to dumb down. Kelly and Michele need to step their vocal game up. That’s the reason Kelly can’t sell. She’s not honing her craft. There’s no vocal progression in her voice at all. She still sounds the exact same as when she first hit the scene.

Side note: I’m not a fan of Beyonce opening her legs to her audiences throughout the years or barely there skimpy outfits however, if we’re just focusing on pure vocals, you hear the progression with every album. Not saying she’s the best vocalist but when it comes to constantly upping her vocal game, she does that!!!

The strength and power in her vocals on album “4″ don’t compare at all to her first solo album. She gets better with each album and that’s because on her off time she’s steady taking vocal lessons, instead of just relying on the fact that she can sing.

Ciara, Keri Hilson, Kelly Rowland, Michele Williams and Ashanti all still sound the same. And for artist like Fantasia and Jennifer Holiday, they put it all out there when they first came out. So there’s no room left for them to grow. They just better hope to get with some hell of song writers to save their careers.

All in all this song lacks luster.

Beyonce’s vocals are great in this. This is the type of vocals I like to here rather than the growling and shout-singing left over from B’Day. I also believe Beyonce pushes Kelly’s vocals. (Watch the DC in ATL DVD)

But this isn’t a good comeback song for them. And frankly, I don’t understand the reasoning behind another compilation DC album. They should just release unreleased material. In particular, the “Killing Time” remix that’s included on the special features of their first album.

This is a collection of mostly unreleased material that was recorded between 1999 to 2004.

Google the track list, it’s mostly album cuts like “Now that shes gone” and “Love”
