This Plate Of Pasta Costs $2,013

by admin on 01/11/2013 · 5 comments

Here is what’s inside:

Homemade tagliolini, two pounds (0.45 kg) of fresh Maine lobster, wild mushrooms and a generous shaving of black truffle.

The dish is available at upscale New York City Italian restaurant BICE and served on a gold leaf feather plate designed by Gianni Versace.  SICK!

Damn! Truffles alone are expensive! I remember going to the grocery store and while looking in the produce section of this particular store, I came across “truffles” that were in a clear case, albeit, they were locked up and required a store associate to unlock it to purchase. Black truffles are mostly found in France and they run about $1,250-$1,500 depending on the location and store that is selling them. So to see this plate cost $2,013 is believable. BUT….I don’t think I would ever pay this much for food, even if I did have it! Man…that’s alot of dough. But it looks good as hell…..
