Looks Like The Oxygen Network Will Cancel Shawty Lo’s “All My Babies Mamas” Reality Show

by admin on 01/15/2013 · 19 comments

Can’t say that we didn’t see this coming, but according to sources the Oxygen Network is set to pull rapper Shawty Lo’s reality show “All My Babies Mamas” from airing on the cable network due to an online petition that has over 40,000 signatures.  The show was set to center around Shawty Lo’s life with his 11 children and 10 babies mothers living under the same roof.  Do you agree with the cancellation, or think it’s just entertainment?

I really don’t understand what the problem is? Why are people really trying to act like this life style doesn’t exist? This is RAW reality TV! So is TLC pulling Sister Wives too? Doesnt that man have like over 20 kids with 4 mothers and their all fucking him But that’s cool for TV cause you add religion to it and call it polygamy? Bullshit!

I thought the same thing.. People notice the negative when a certain race does it.. Why hasn’t TLC targeted for the same behavior??

Don’t get me wrong; I don’t want to see our people in that light; but its TV.. Made for TV.. Take it or leave it..

I guess I have to wait for another ratchet TV show to get my drama..

When white people live a polygamous lifestyle, it is then declared to be a fascinating and interesting lifestyle choice, but when blacks to it, it is frowned upon and labeled as simply ghetto. Monogamy doesnt work for the majority of Americans (i.e. 50% divorce rate in America).

Us white people think Sister Wives and the “polygamy” lifestyle is stupid, not interesting or fascinating in the least bit. Don’t get us twisted.

I could care less what the polygamists do if they believe its what God wants of them. They’re not doing it just do do it (or so they say).

Shawty Lo IS just doing it to do it. He doesn’t believe that God has required this lifestyle of him. It is propagating the notion that this lifestyle is appropriate behavior. “Babys Mamas?” Really?

Say what you want about Sister Wives, but nobody is going to point at all white people and say that this is indicative of how their behavior generally is. On the flip side, this coonery will just be adding to the myth that all black people live like this. And we soooooo don’t.

maybe we should? monogamous marriages is a new invention, compared to the vast cultures that practice some sort of polygamy from the beginning of time!

I hate niggas like you.

The point is in 2013 you have the option to not care what racists think of you.

for the most part, white folk being racists in their living room is not gonna keep you from getting an education or a job or advance in life.

it’s a new day. black people don’t have to worry about representing the race when they go outside – because THEY DON’T.

and giving into what racists think validates their opinion and ENTRENCHES them in it. i.e., “why can’t all blacks be good black like…”

racists are irrational BY DEFINITION. So what do you call a person who is unduly concerned with what irrational people think?

dandyli0n.

So the irony is you talk about the double standard – and then like a good house nigga you tell us that we’d do well to follow along? “Fix up and look sharp now! Masta is a coming.”

oh house nigga.

fuck you, house nigga.

freedom is getting to live your life how you choose – even if it’s ratchet as fuck.

you keep trying to do things so racists will like you.

good luck with that mental enslavement asshole.

i cant believe ppl think its okay that a black man and a group of black women be depicted in such a denigrating manner. r any one of u aware dat dese shows indicate to most dat, dat is exactly how all black ppl r? if dere is nothing positive on tv about black ppl in the reality spectrum den isnt d correct deduction is dat black ppl r all exactly wat dey see in dese shows? of course its an ignorant conclusion but its one dat will be made if dese shows continue to populate the air waves. instead of u be mad we dont have shit ov tv dats positive u want a show about an ass who made 11 kids wit 10 more asses. its a fukin scary ass world smh

Maybe you should think of how you’re depicting black people by replacing all your th’s with d’s.

Exactly!!!! Grow up and spell your words correctly since you want to speak on how black people are depicted. It’s so sad because you have a valid point but an idiotic way of typing it. You make people not want to read what you have to say. Stop limiting yourself and type as though you have sense and an education.

I wonder if that also includes defending people who like to murder children or anyone for that matter, or people who like to engage in child pornography/molestation. I understand the point but you have to be careful making generalized comments or quoting someone because like it or not, they apply to everyone in general. Just because someone compose a quote, doesnt constitute the quote as morally right or as making any sense. In my opinion, Evelyn Beatrice Hall should’ve put a little bit more thought into that quote and you should’ve put a little bit more thought into it before posting it.

I defend everyone’s right to do what they want and to think what they wish as long as they are not infringing on the rights of others.

is that clear?

that is usually clear to anyone 12 years and older. I guess I should not have assumed that with you.
